ITINERARY :

DAY 1 – From MEDAN Downtown or MEDAN Kuala Namu Airport to BUKIT LAWANG (NORTH SUMATRA)

Holiday tour package around Sumatra begins as soon as you land in Medan Airport. We will either fetch you up from Medan Airport (Kuala Namu International Airport) or from the hotel you stay in Medan city. We will travel straight to Bahorok Bukit Lawang, one of the most interesting places around Sumatra as the Orang Utans have become the most tourist attractions in North Sumatra province. Passing through small towns with rubber, palm oil and cacao plantations which of course some short breaks (stops) will be made all along the way. Especially if you find any interesting places for the stops even for photo-stops, just simply let us know and we pull over. Later on the journey will be completed as soon as we reach Bahorok – Bukit Lawang after 4 hours drive and check in ECOLODGE Cottage (Hotel) Bukit Lawang.

 

DAY 2 – SUMATRAN ORANGUTAN JUNGLE TREK BUKIT LAWANG (NORTH SUMATRA)

North Sumatra tour packages will begin to discover the most popular North Sumatra tourism jungle icon, OranUtans Sumatra. The, orangutan jungle trek around Bukit Lawang Gunung Leuser takes around 3 hours and will be guided by our well experienced Orang utan Sumatra tour guides. After enjoying watching and taking photograph of the OrangUtans in their area, we will proceed the Orangutan tour by hiking/walking  down to Bahorok river to continue the trip by tubing  heading back to your hotel which roughly takes 30 minutes tubing in river.

 

DAY 3 –  BUKIT LAWANG to BERASTAGI (NORTH SUMATRA)

North Sumatra vacations will proceed by travelling to Berastagi Town, a town surrounded with lovely mountains landscape. Coffee break at Panorama Berastagi would be a great stop. Proceed the journey to visit the Lumbini Temple Park, a unique Budhist temple in Berastagi region. We will continue the tour by visitingBerastagi traditional fruit market as well as the Gundaling hill at Berastagi for the enchanting panoramic view of Sinabung and Sibayak volcanoes. Later at noon check in hotel (Berastagi).

 

DAY 4 – TOUR AROUND BERASTAGI + EASY LOVELY SIBAYAK VOLCANO HIKING

Hiking the Sibayak volcano in Berastagi will be a wonderful experience during your North Sumatra Holiday tour trip as it is one of the most interesting places to visit in Berastagi. The Sibayak volcano hiking is ideally started in the morning with the fresh air of Berastagi. The lovely hike takes around 60-90minutes to reach the Sibayak volcano summit which is elevated approximately 2.200m ABSL.  The magnificent view of Berastagi landscape on the Sibayak volcano summit with its active crater will be the great tourist attractions up there.  Later on, we will proceed hiking down to the starting point, then head back to your hotel after enjoying the hot spring around Berastagi countryside. And the lovely noon at Berastagi will be at your own leisure.

 

DAY 5 – BERASTAGI to LAKE TOBA (NORTH SUMATRA)

Vacations around North Sumatra will continue by travelling to Lake Toba by early in the morning after having breakfast. We will travel via Berastagi, a lovely mountainous town. Along the way, we will have some stops or coffee breaks and also visit the Dokan Village, the traditional Batak Karo village. Then proceed the trip to a fabulous tourist attraction around North Sumatra, the charming Sipiso-piso waterfall. It would be great to have a coffee break at Simarjarunjung village while enjoying Toba Lake view and surrounding mountains landscape. The tour trip will proceed to Parapat town to get a ferry/boat across Samosir Island  – Toba Lake. And Check in at noon at Tabo Cottages at Tuk Tuk – Samosir Island, Toba Lake.

 

DAY 6 – TOBA LAKE TOUR (NORTH SUMATRA)

Your holiday tour trip around Lake Toba North Sumatra would be much more interesting by visiting Ambarita village, to see the ancient court yard of the Siallagan’s tribe which is still originally decorated with its stone chair, stone table and surrounded with Batak Toba’s traditional houses. Later on we will travel farther to visit Simanindo village, another tourist attractions around Toba Lake to see some traditional Batak dancing and visit the Huta Bolon Simanindo Batak Museum. And we will also visit another interesting places around Somosir Island Lake Toba,Tomok Village to see the ancient tomb of King Sidabutar graves yard. Back to hotel and free at your own leisure during noon, relax and swim would be great ideas.

 

DAY 7 – PARAPAT TOBA LAKE to BUKITTINGGI (Stay overnight in PADANG SIDEMPUAN – NORTH SUMATRA)

The itinerary holiday tour trip around Sumatra will proceed the journey to Bukittinggi West Sumatra. We will stay overnight at Padang Sidempuan halfway to Bukittinggi. Along the journey, we will visit Balige traditional market and also short coffee break at Panorama Gurgur, the southern panorama Lake Toba. Then lunch break will be at Tarutung town. Proceed driving to Sipirok village for a short coffee break at a lovely mountainous village. We will travel farther and check in Mega Permata hotel Padang Sidempuan late at noon.

 

DAY 8 – PADANG SIDEMPUAN to BUKITTINGGI (WEST SUMATRA)

From North Sumatra we will travel to West Sumatra. Along the journey we will stop at some interesting places. Coffee break will be at Sihepeng village and lunch break will be at Kotanopan village surrounded by rice fields. After that we will travel farther crossing the boarder between North Sumatra and West Sumatra where we will have a short coffee break at Panti hot spring. Then proceed driving to Equator Bonjol Sumatra. We will be in Bukittinggi late at noon and check in hotel straight away.

 

DAY 9 – BUKITTINGGI – MANINJAU LAKE Countryside Tour (WEST SUMATRA)

(Danau) Maninjau Lake tour will discover many interesting places surrounding Maninjau Lake during your vacation around West Sumatra. (Danau) Maninjau Lake tour itinerary will begin visiting Panorama Park, the overlook point of fascinatingSianok Canyon Bukittinggi (Sianok Canyon is the Landmark of Bukittinggi West Sumatra tourism). Then proceed driving to Koto Gadang Village, to see local people make traditional handmade silver and later on coffee break at magnificent view of Panorama Sungai Landia. Later on travel farther to Puncak Lawang, a lovely top point to overlook at fabulous view of (Danau) Maninjau Lake. Some other tourist attractions at Puncak Lawang are  the Flying Fox and Parachutting /paragliding. Proceed the journey down to Maninjau Lake by travelling via Kelok 44 (the hairpin road to Maninjau Lake) and enjoy the beach of Maninjau Lakewhile relaxing,   having lunch and even swim.  Later at noon, from (Danau) Maninjau Lake travel back to Bukittinggi which approximately takes around 60 minutes drive to grab a coffee break at  lovely Taruko resort located at thebottom of Sianok Canyon Bukittinggi. And travel back to Bukittinggi about 15 minutes drive to reach your hotel.

 

DAY 10 – BUKITTINGGI – MINANGKABAU Countryside Tour (WEST SUMATRA)

Minangkabau tour will discover more about Minangkabau culture, traditional houses, traditions and etc around Batusangkar Tanah Datar district during your holiday in West Sumatra (Barat). We will travel straight to Pagaruyuang Batusangkar Tanah Datar via Batipuah village to visit an old building of Minangkabau mosque (Surau) with its original Minangkabau architecture. Before reaching this village, we will visit Pandai Sikek Village, to see local people make traditional hand weaving (songket) and wood carving (ukiran kayu). Lunch break will be at a restaurant surrounded with terraced paddy fields landscape. Later on we will travel farther to visit the fascinating tourist attractions around West Sumatra, Batusangkar town, to visit (Istana) Pagaruyuang Palace, the impressive  Minangkabau traditional big house. Then proceed visiting another tourist attraction,Balimbiang village to see old traditional Minangkabau houses, especially Rumah Tuo Kampai Nan Panjang which was built without any single nails and thatched roof top. A splendid coffee break will be at Singkarak lake, then travel back to Bukittinggiwhich takes about 60 minutes drive.

 

DAY 11 – BUKITTINGGI – LEMBAH HARAU VALLEY Countryside Tour (WEST SUMATRA)

(Lembah) Harau Valley Tour is one of the most impressive tours during your holiday in Payakumbuh Lima Puluh Kota District, West Sumatra. The itinerary will discover the amazing (Lembah) Harau Valley surroundings as it is one of the most interesting places around West Sumatra which very much enchants tourists with its fascinating countryside atmosphere. Along the journey to Harau valley, Coffee break at Panorama Tabek Patah after one hour drive would be lovely. We will travel further to Harau Valley via Barulak and Situjuah village surrounded with its beautiful terraced rice field landscape which takes around 60 minutes drive. As soon as we reach Harau Valley, we will discover the waterfalls around Harau Valley. Lunch break will be at the bottom of Harau Valley. Later at noon, from Harau Valley travel back to Bukittinggi which takes around 90 minutes drive.

 

DAY 12 – BUKITTINGGI – PADANG AIRPORT (MINANGKABAU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT PADANG – WEST SUMATRA)

Start heading to Padang Airport which roughly takes two hour’s drive from Bukittinggi. It is also possible to drive around Padang downtown if you still have a bit of extra time before heading back to Padang Airport.
