Graha Maria Annai Velangkanni Medan
The unique Catholic church of Graha Maria Annai Velangkanni is located on the outskirts of Medan city, North Sumatra Indonesia which is about 15 km away from Maimun Palace and Medan Grand Mosque.
The distinctive characteristics church was built by Father James Bharataputra in 2001 – 2005 and dedicated to the Blessed Mother Mary. His vision was to make the Graha Maria Annai Velangkanni become a place for everyone, where everybody of all races and religions, rich or poor can call ‘home’ to seek peace, unity, solace, healing and divinity.
The Graha Maria seeks to teach humanity the story of Salvation History of mankind, based on the Bible and the teachings of the Church through its format, symbolism, ornaments, sculpture and paintings.
