Travel Itinerary.
The tour begins by driving to Panorama Park, which is only 10 minutes away from Bukittinggi downtown. It’s a breath-taking spot surrounded with the green scenery of Sianok Canyon. Such an easy walk to the view point that will give you another perspective of the Beauty Sianok Canyon Bukittinggi.
Then we continue driving to Koto Gadang village, set on the slope of Singgalang mountain with beautiful views. It it a well known for its calm ambiance village. And it is also famous for its silver smith trade (traditional handmade silver) and women are specialists of handmade embroidery.
Later on we’ll have a relaxing coffee break with magnificent views at view point of Panorama Sungai Landia valley. A charming community located on the slopes of the mountain and surrounded with beautiful terraced rice paddy fields.
After that we’ll stop at Lawang village to see how local people make traditional brown sugar and also try the tasty pure sugar cane juice made with the help of blindfolded buffalo. Then we will drive further to Panorama Puncak Lawang, a lovely hill top location overlooking the fabulous Maninjau Lake. We can take a lovely walk to explore the hill with the splendid backdrop of the lake. And for the adventurous, there is also the option to try Zip Lining and Paragliding here.
After the beautiful views looking down on Maninjau Lake, the journey takes us down to the lake itself, travelling via Kelok 44. Navigating the spectacular hairpin road with fantastic views of the valley, we wind our way down to have lunch at the beach of Arlen Homestay. This is an amazing place for simply relaxing, chilling out, sunbathing at the beach or even swimming in the lake.
From Maninjau Lake return to Bukittinggi
From Maninjau Lake, we travel back to Bukittinggi via 44 hairpin road again, it takes approximately 60 minutes. And later on we’ll stop off for another break at the picturesque village of Taruko VIllage, located at the bottom of Sianok Canyon. After spending some time enjoying the tranquil river views of Sianok Canyon, it’s back to Bukittinggi, a 15 minute drive to your hotel and the end of the day trip.
