TOUR ITINERARY :
DAY 1 – Padang Airport to Bukittinggi
We either pick up from Padang Airport (Minangkabau International Airport) or your hotel in Padang (during mid day). And the trip will proceed to Harau Valley straight away. Having a coffee break at Panorama Kiambang would be nice moment. Proceed driving to Harau Valley for about three hours drive. Check in hotel (Harau Valley) late at noon.
DAY 2 – HARAU VALLEY Countryside walk or Jungle Trek
The adventure day to discover the hidden beauty beneath Harau Valley. Firstly we will start our day a bit early in the morning, either to do the easy lovely countryside walking or jungle trekking. Lunch break will be in the jungle. Stop at some waterfalls would be a perfect stop after walking and sweating a lot. Finally we continue hiking back to ABDI homestay later in the afternoon.
DAY 3 – Harau Valley to Bukittinggi with Minangkabau Countryside Tour
Starting heading to Batusangkar. Coffee break at Panorama Tabek Patah after 90 minutes drive. Proceed driving to Batusangkar to visit Istana Pagauyuang Palace, the fascinating Minangkabau traditional big house. Lunch will be at Flora restaurant surrounded with terraced paddy fields landscape. Later on visiting the Balimbiang village to see old traditional Minangkabau houses, especially Rumah Tuo Kampai Nan Panjang which was built without any single nails and thatched roof top. Then continue driving to Singkarak lake for coffee break. Proceed driving to Batipuah village to see the old building of Minangkabau mosque (Surau) with its original architecture. Proceed driving to Pandai Sikek Village to see local people make traditional hand weaving and wood carving. Head to Bukittinggi about 30minutes drive and check in hotel (Bukittinggi)
DAY 4 – Bukittinggi – Maninjau Lake Countryside Tours
Starting the day by visiting Panorama Park to see the whole fascinating view of Sianok Canyon Bukittinggi. Proceed driving to Koto Gadang Village to see local people make traditional handmade silver. Coffee break will be at magnificent Panorama Sungai Landia. Then we continue heading to Puncak Lawang to see the fabulous view of Maninjau Lake and also possible to do the Zip Lining and Paragliding. Later on we proceed driving down to Maninjau Lake beach via Kelok 44 hairpin road and enjoy the beach of Maninjau Lake while having lunch and even swimming. Drive back to Bukittinggi. After driving around 90 minutes, it would be awesome to have a lovely coffee break at Taruko resortlocated at the bottom of Sianok Canyon Bukittinggi. And back to Bukittinggi for 20 minutes drive.
DAY 5 – Bukittinggi to Padang or Minangkabau Airport
Start heading to Padang Airport which roughly takes two hours drive. In addition, it is possible to drive around Padang downtown if you still have a bit of extra time before heading back to Padang Airport.
