TOUR ITINERARY:
DAY 1 – Padang Airport to Bukittinggi
We will either pick up from Padang Airport (Minangkabau International Airport) or your hotel in Padang (during mid day) and the trip will proceed to Bukittinggi straight away. Firstly having a coffee break at Panorama Kiambang would be nice moment. Then we proceed driving to Bukittinggi around 90 Minutes drive and later at noon check in hotel (Bukittinggi)
DAY 2 – Bukittinggi – MANINJAU LAKE Countryside Tour
Starting the day by visiting Panorama Park to see the whole fascinating view of Sianok Canyon Bukittinggi. Proceed driving to Koto Gadang Village to see local people make traditional handmade silver. And later on coffee break at magnificent Panorama Sungai Landia. Then we will continue heading to Puncak Lawang to see the fabulous view of Maninjau Lake which is also possible to do the Zip Lining and Parachutting/paragliding. After that Proceed driving to Maninjau Lake beach via Kelok 44 (the hairpin road to Maninjau Lake) and enjoy the beach of Maninjau Lake while having lunch and even swim. Drive back to Bukittinggi. After driving around 90 minutes, it would be awesome to have a lovely coffee break at Taruko resortlocated at the bottom of Sianok Canyon Bukittinggi. And back to Bukittinggi for 20 minutes drive.
DAY 3 – Bukittinggi – MINANGKABAU Countryside Tour
Starting the day by visiting Pandai Sikek Village to see local people make traditional hand weaving and wood carving. Proceed driving to Batipuah village to see the old building of Minangkabau mosque (Surau) with its original architecture. Then we will continue driving to Batusangkar to visit Istana Pagaruyuang Palace which is the most fascinating Minangkabau traditional big house. And our lunch break will be at Sungai Tarok Village surrounded with terraced paddy fields landscape. And then our journey proceeds to visit the typical Balimbiang village to see old traditional Minangkabau houses, especially Rumah Tuo Kampai Nan Panjang which was built without any single nails and thatched roof top. Then we continue driving to Singkarak lake for coffee break. And back to Bukittinggi about 90 minutes drive.
DAY 4 – Bukittinggi – LEMBAH HARAU Countryside Tour
Starting heading to Lembah Harau Valley. Coffee break at Panorama Tabek after one hour driving. Proceed driving down to Harau valley which takes around 90 minutes drive via Barulak and Situjuah village surrounded with its beautiful rice field landscape. Explore the waterfalls around Harau Valley. Lunch will be at thebottom of Harau Valley. And after lunch proceed driving around Harau valley countryside to see the hidden beauty of Harau Valley landscape. A splendid coffee break would be at ABDI Homestay with its awesome scenery. And later at noon, we head back to Bukittinggi which is about 90 minutes drive.
DAY 5 – Bukittinggi to RAFFLESIA ARNOLDDI FLOWER Jungle Trek Tour + COFFEE LUWAK
Drive for 30 minutes to Batang Palupuah Village to see Rafflesia Arnoldi flower in the jungle (IF blooming). Jungle walk itself might roughly take 90 minutes walk (the distance depends on where the flower is blooming). After the jungle walk, it would be nice to have a leisure break at a local house by having a cup of traditional organic Coffee Luwak. And proceed driving back to Bukittinggi, have lunch and back to your hotel. And after that you might take your free time by doing things on your own interests, such as easy walking around the market and visit Jam Gadang (Clock Tower) Bukittinggi.
DAY 6 – Bukittinggi to Padang Airport
Eventually we start heading back to Padang Airport which roughly takes two hours drive. And it is also possible to drive around Padang downtown if you still have a bit of extra time before heading back to Padang Airport.
