TRAVEL ITINERARY :
DAY 1 – Padang Airport to Harau Valley.
Suggested the latest time to start the tour around 11h00 – End around 18h00
Either pick up from Minangkabau International Airport or your hotel nearby Padang and proceed the journey to Bukittinggi straight away. Taking a coffee break at Panorama Kiambang after 90 minutes’ drive would be such a splendid time to spend while getting your muscles stretched out. Then a short visit at Anai Valley waterfall should be delightful to enjoy the green nature. And about 1 hour drive further to visit Pandai Sikek Village to see local people make traditional hand weaving and wood carving. And Proceed driving to Harau Valley around 90 minutes drive and later at noon check in homestay (Harau Valley)
DAY 2 – Harau Valley Lovely Countryside HIKE or JUNGLE TREK.
- Start around 08h00 – End around 16h30.
Start walking day in the morning, either easy countryside walk or jungle trek. Lunch will be in the jungle. Stop at some waterfalls would be a perfect stop after walking and sweating a lot. And then proceed walking back to ABDI homestay later in the afternoon
DAY 3 – Harau Valley to Maninjau Lake.
Start around 09h00 – End around 16h30 .
Star theading to Maninjau Lake. After 90 minutes, visit Panorama Park to see the whole fascinating view of Sianok Canyon Bukittinggi. Lunch break is at Taruko Village located at the bottom of Sianok Canyon Bukittinggi. And continue heading to Puncak Lawang to see the fabulous view of Maninjau Lake and also possible to do the Zip Lining and Paragliding. Proceed driving to Maninjau Lake beach via Kelok 44 (the hairpin road to Maninjau Lake) and enjoy the beach of Maninjau Lake while having lunch and even swimming.
DAY 4 – Maninjau Lake to Bukittinggi.
- Start around 11h00 – End around 16h30.
Relax, swim and chill out enjoying the lake in the morning. Start heading to Bukittinggi. Coffee break at Panorama Sungai Landia after one drive. Proceed driving to Koto Gadang Village to see local people make traditional handmade silver. Check in hotel (Bukittinggi). Also possible to see Rafflesia Flower IF blooming. And it would be a nice noon walk around the clock tower (Jam Gadang) and local market Bukittinggi.
DAY 5 – Minangkabau Tour.
- Start around 08h30 – End around 17h00.
The day tour start heading to Batipuah village to see the old building of Minangkabau mosque (called as ‘Surau’) with its original architecture. Then proceed driving to Singkarak lake for a a quicky coffee break. The journey continues to visit Balimbiang village, to see old traditional Minangkabau houses, especially “Rumah Tuo Kampai Nan Panjang” which was built without any nails and thatched roof top. Lunch break will be at Pondok Flora restaurant surrounded with amazing terraced paddy fields landscape at Sungai Tarok village.
After that proceeds driving to Batusangkar to visit highlights of Minangkabau West Sumatra tourism, “Istana Pagaruyung Palace”, the most fabulous Minangkabau traditional big (long) house. Later on driving further to Panorama Sabu for a lovely coffee break whilst enjoying the real ambiance of typical local coffee shop. And the trip continues to return driving straight to Bukittinggi which takes around 90 minutes’ drive to be back at your hotel.
DAY 6 – Bukittinggi to Cubadak Island Paradiso Beach Resort Padang.
- Start around 09h30 – End around 16h00.
Start heading to Padang downtown and lunch will somewhere around Padang downtown. After lunch, proceed driving to Cubadak Island Paradiso Beach Resort and will have a coffee break on the hill of Bungus Beach before reaching the jetty at Carocok Village. Get the speed boat to Cubadak Paradiso Beach Resort Padang for about 15 minutes.
