TOUR ITINERARY:
DAY 1 – Padang Airport to Bukittinggi.
- Suggested the latest time to start the tour around 11h00 – End around 17h00.
Our tour guide will either pick you up from Minangkabau International Airport or your hotel nearby Padang. After that we proceed the journey to Bukittinggi straight away. We are going to take a coffee break at Panorama Kiambang after 90 minutes’ drive would be such a splendid time to spend while getting your muscles stretched out. Then a short visit at Anai Valley waterfall should be delightful to enjoy the green nature. And another 1 hour drive further to visit Pandai Sikek Village to see local people make traditional hand weaving and wood carving. And finally we continue driving to Bukittinggi about 1 hour drive to check in your hotel.
DAY 2 – Bukittinggi to Harau Valley via MINANGKABAU Countryside Tour.
- Start around 08h00 – End around 18h00.
The day tour starts by visiting Batipuah village to see the old building of Minangkabau mosque (called as ‘Surau’) with its original architecture. Then we continue driving to Singkarak lake for a short coffee break. Our journey continues to visit Balimbiang village, to see old traditional Minangkabau houses, especially “Rumah Tuo Kampai Nan Panjang” which was built without any single nails and thatched roof top. Lunch break will be at Sungai Tarok village surrounded with amazing terraced paddy fields landscape.
After that proceeds driving to Batusangkar to visit tourism highlights of Minangkabau Highland of West Sumatra, “Istana PagaruyungPalace”, the most impressive Minangkabau traditional big (long) house. Later on continue driving to Panorama Tabek Patah for a coffee break while enjoying the enchanting terraced paddy field landscape surrounded by Bukit Barisan Range Mountains. Then continue the journey for about 90 minutes’ drive. Finally we reach Harau Valley and check in hotel.
DAY 3 – Harau Valley Lovely Countryside HIKE or JUNGLE TREK.
- Start around 08h00 – End around 16h30.
We start our hiking day in the morning, either easy countryside hike/walk or jungle trek around Harau Valley. Lunch will be in the jungle. Stop at some waterfalls would be a perfect stop after walking and sweating a lot during the hike. After that we proceed walking back to ABDI homestay later in the afternoon.
DAY 4 – Harau Valley to Maninjau Lake.
- Start around 09h00 – End around 16h30.
Star theading to Maninjau Lake. After 90 minutes, visit Panorama Park to see the whole fascinating view of Sianok Canyon Bukittinggi. Lunch break is at Taruko resort located at the bottom of Sianok Canyon Bukittinggi. And continue heading to Puncak Lawang to see the fabulous view of Maninjau Lake and also possible to do the Zip Lining and Paragliding. Proceed driving to Maninjau Lake beach via Kelok 44 (the hairpin road to Maninjau Lake) and enjoy the beach of Maninjau Lake while having lunch and even swim.
DAY 5 – Easy lovely day by the beach of MANINJAU LAKE.
There are some options to do around the lake. Either sunbathing, relaxing, chilling out at the beach of Maninjau Lake, OR possible to do the half day jungle trek from Puncak Lawang down to the Lake, OR even cycling / motorcycling around the lake. Therefore the choice is all yours.
DAY 6 – Maninjau Lake to Bukittinggi.
- Start around 11h00 – End around 16h30.
It is your free progam. Such as Relaxing, swimming and chilli out enjoying the lake in the morning. And the we start heading to Bukittinggi. Our coffee break will be at Panorama Sungai Landia after one drive. After that we proceed driving to Koto Gadang Village to see local people make traditional handmade silver. Check in hotel (Bukittinggi). And it is also possible to see Rafflesia Arnoldii Flower IF blooming. And it would be a nice noon walk around the clock tower (Jam Gadang) and local market Bukittinggi. Finally you check in hotel in Bukittinggi.
DAY 7 – Bukittinggi to Cubadak Island Paradiso Beach Resort Padang.
- Start around 09h30 – End around 16h00.
We Start heading to Padang downtown and our lunch break will somewhere around Padang downtown. After lunch break, we proceed driving to Cubadak Island Paradiso Beach Resort and will have a coffee break on the hill of Bungus Beach before reaching the jetty at Carocok Village. After that you will take the speed boat to Cubadak Paradiso Beach Resort Padang for about 15 minutes.
