TRAVEL ITINERARY:
DAY 1 – Surroundings Medan Tour to Berastagi.
Our tour guide team will come to pick you up either from Kuala Namu Airport North Sumatra or Medan city. Our journey begins heading to Bukit Lawang with some stops at tourists highlights around Medan will be made on our way. (Istana) Maimoon Palace, gorgeous Medan Grand Mosque (Masjid Raya Al-Mashun), the magnificent unique church Maria Annai Vellangkanni and Asam Kumbang Crorodile Conservation. After we are done to explore interesting places around Medan, then we will drive further about 2 hours’ drive to Pagoda Lumbini Park, the impressive Buddhist Temple Park in Berastagi located on mountainous highland with extremely refreshing cooling weather. (Furthermore Berastagi is indeed surrounded by two active volcanoes ; SINABUNG mount and SIBAYAK mount). After that we proceed driving to Berastagi and check in hotel.
DAY 2 – Adventure Tour to CLIMB NORTH Sumatra VOLCANO Mount Sibayak Berastagi.
First of all, this trip is indeed much better to start quite early in the morning before sunrise in order to catch up the magnificent sunrise view. Ideally starts at 04h00 from your hotel in Berastagi. Another possibility is after early breakfast around 07h00 or 08h00 starting from your hotel purposely just to catch the view.
We begin driving to Mount Sibayak starting point, roughly 30 minutes away from Berastagi. Then starts hiking up to slowly reach Mount Sibayak summit to enjoy the impressive view of Berastagi highland surrounding landscape. Sometimes the gigantic summit of Mount Sinabung Volcano can also be seen if the weather is clear enough.
The easy lovely hike itself takes around 90 minutes to 2 hours and likewise in return nearly the same time. Then we carry on driving to Sidebuk debuk hot springs located on the foot of Mount Sibayak for the natural relaxation happy ending after volcano climbing. After that we return to hotel with free program and you are on your leisure during noon.
DAY 3 – Truly relaxing day around Berastagi.
This is a completely relaxing day around Berastagi surrounding. We will start the day by visiting Gundaling Hill to enjoy the magnificent active volcanoes Mount SINABUNG and SIBAYAK. Later on continue to Berastagi agricultural farms where we can see the varieties of local crops surrounding Berastagi located along the slope of Mount Sibayak Volcano. And after we will return to Berastagi town to visit and experience the real life life of traditional market. Later on we drive back to hotel and free program at noon time.
DAY 4 – Berastagi to Samosir Island – Toba Lake.
Along our journey, we will have some stops to visit Dokan Village, the authentic traditional typical Batak Karo village. We will witness and experience how people live in their long houses following the traditions from their ancestors. After that we proceed to a fabulous tourist attraction around North Sumatra, the charming Sipiso-piso waterfall with fascinating Lake Toba landscpae background.
Then we continue driving to the King Purba Palace, the ancient Bolon House at Simalungun regency. It must be great to gain more experience to see completely different type of traditional Batak long house architectures. We carry on further having some lovely coffee break at Panorama Simarjarunjung, Northern Toba Lake view surrounded with mountains landscape. Later on we drive further to Parapat or Tiga Ras to catch aferry/boat across Samosir Island – Toba Lake. We finally check in hotel around Toba Lake at noon time.
DAY 5 – Southern Samosir Island – Lake Toba Cultural Tour.
We will start our day visiting the most famous tour highlights around Samosir Island – Toba Lake. “King Siallagan” Stone chair ancient courtyard somewhere at Ambarita village, surrounded with typical Bolon houses will be our first stop. Later on we will visit Tomok village to see the ancient (sarcophagus) tombs of King Sidabutar graves yard. Lunch break will be made if requested.
We will move further to Panorama Parhalow (Sigarantung) to have a lovely coffee break with amazing southern view of Panorama of Lake Toba Samosir Island. We will return to hotel as soon as we are done with all the highlights. Free program around noon time and certainly be on your own leisure. Might be relaxing by the lake side or swimming would be fun. Or even having traditional massage would absolutely be such a brilliant idea.
DAY 6 – Northern Samosir Island – Lake Toba Tour.
We begin our direction towards the Northern part of Lake Toba to watch the typical Batak dancing performance at Simanindo. Later on we also visit Lumban Suhi Suhi to see local people make typical Batak hand weaving, called as ‘ULOS‘. Lunch stop will be along the way to Panorama Tele for the wonderful Northern view of Samosir Island Lake Toba. Then we will drive back through the same windy road and explore the splendid countryside area of Pusuk Buhit Mountain. After that we proceed driving back to hotel to have free leisure noon time.
DAY 7 – FREE Program – Relaxing day around Lake Toba
Completely a relaxation day – FREE PROGRAM – Leisure on your own path.
DAY 8 : Samosir Island (Lake Toba) to Medan City Kuala Namu Airport OR continue to Bukittinggi – Harau Valley – Minangkabau Pagaruyung Palace – Padang West Sumatra – Maninjau Lake.
Eventually on our last tours, we are going adjust our departure time according to your flight schedule. We still cross to Parapat and back to the mainland roughly 45 minutes to 1 hour journey by boat/ferry. Then we drive to Medan – (WING Hotel) Kuala Namu Airport via Pematang Siantar – Tebing Tinggi which takes about 4 to 5 hours drive. Or we might also drive you to Sibolangit Airport about 2,5 hour. Another option is to Sibisa Airport around 1 hour.
