TRAVEL ITINERARY :
DAY 1 – Padang Airport – Bukittinggi
- Suggested the latest time to start the tour around 11h00 – End around 17h00.
Our team work will come to pick you up either from Minangkabau International Airport or at any hotels around Padang. And the tour starts straight away heading to Bukittinggi. Having a coffee break at Panorama Kiambang after 90minutes’ drive would be such a nice moment while getting your muscles stretched out. Later on a short visit at Anai Valley waterfall would be splendid to enjoy the lovely landscape. Another 1 hour drive to visit Pandai Sikek Village to see local people make traditional hand weaving and wood carving. And then the journey finally takes around 1 hour drive to reach Bukittinggi and check in hotel.
DAY 2 – Minangkabau Tour
- Start around 08h30 – End around 17h00.
The tour starts heading to Batipuah village to see the old building of Minangkabau mosque. It is called as ‘Surau’ with its authentic Minangkabau typical architecture. Then we proceed driving further to Singkarak lake for a lovely coffee break. The journey continues to visit Balimbiang village, to see old traditional Minangkabau houses, especially “Rumah Tuo Kampai Nan Panjang” which was built without any nails and thatched roof top. Lunch break will be at Pondok Flora restaurant surrounded with amazing terraced paddy fields landscape at Sungai Tarok village.
After that we proceed driving to Batusangkar to visit the highlights of Minangkabau West Sumatra tourism. “Istana Pagaruyung Palace”, the most fabulous Minangkabau traditional big (long) house. Later on we move further to Panorama Sabu for a lovely coffee break whilst enjoying the real ambiance of typical local coffee shop. And around noon time, we finally return to Bukittinggi which takes around 90minutes’ drive to be back at your hotel.
DAY 3 – Bukittinggi – Harau Valley Tour

The journey begins by driving to explore the eastern part of Bukittinggi. After an hour’s drive, first stop is the Panorama Tabek Patah for a special coffee break and breathtaking views. There’s tasty local coffee from the village to be enjoyed together with magnificent views over a valley scattered with terraced paddy rice fields. A little later, your journey takes you over the iconic flyover bridge, Kelok 9, via the villages of Barulak and Situjuah.
It’s an impressive feat of engineering set across a beautiful natural valley, providing an extraordinarily unique vista. Then it’s on to Harau Valley itself and a well-earned lunch break at the bottom of the valley. From here you will be able to discover beautiful countryside and waterfalls in this natural conservation area. After viewing the magnificent waterfalls, you can choose to explore the hidden beauty of Harau Valley, either by walking or driving. And after your drive or walk in the Valley, there waits a welcome coffee break at the Abdi homestay, where you can relax and further enjoy the awesome landscape. Finally, we travel back to Bukittinggi, a 90 minute drive to return you to your hotel and the end of the day tour.
DAY 4 – Bukittinggi – Puncak Lawang Maninjau – Padang Airport

Starting the day by visiting Panorama Park to see the impressive view of Sianok Canyon Bukittinggi. Taruko Village for a lovely coffee break where this is the hidden paradise in the middle of city located at the bottom of Sianok Canyon. The journey proceeds to the most well-known silversmith in Sumatra, Koto Gadang Village to see local people make traditional handmade silver with native Minangkabau unique designs. Later on taking a FunTastic coffee break at the magnificent Panorama Sungai Landia village surrounded by Singgalang mountains and teraced ricefield bottom view.
And tours continue heading to Puncak Lawang to see the fabulous view of Danau Maninjau Lake caldera from the height of 1.200m absl accompanied by the lovely breeze with superb fresh air full of oxygen. After that we will proceed driving to Panorama Malalak and having a coffee break with Singgalang Mountain lanscape background. And then we drive straight to Padang Airport to end your holiday trip in West Sumatra.
