Tour Itinerary
Pacu Jawi (Bull Race) tour Batusangkar Tanah Datar begins from Bukittinggi and return to Bukittinggi on the same day. Firstly our team will come to pick you up from the nearby hotel you stay around Bukittinggi, West Sumatra. Then will travel straight away to Pacu Jawi village in Batusangkar Tanah Datar region which roughly takes 2 hours’ drive.
On our way, we will also have a lovely coffee break at the scenic Panorama Tabek Patah. Then we will drive further to visit the traditional Pagaruyung Palace, the icon tourism of Minangkabau Culture in West Sumatra. Lunch break will be at Sungai Tarok village with magnificent terraced rice field landscape.
Then we continue driving straight to the village of Pacu Jawi Bull race to witness and experience the authentic traditional sport of Minangkabau culture. The arena of Bull race itself is quite dramatically muddy rice fields which causes splashes to the viewers along the sides of the rice field. Therefore the Pacu Jawi Bull race celebration is indeed a great event opportunity for photography to take the great shots.
The Pacu Jawi race starts around 12h30 & finishes around 15h30. Finally we will travel back straight to Bukittinggi (takes around 2 hours’ drive) to return to your hotel.
