TOUR ITINERARY :

DAY 1 – Medan City Tour or Kuala Namu International Airport to Bukit Lawang | NORTH Sumatra.

LITE N EASY Tour team will pick you up either from hotel around Medan downtown North Sumatra or Kuala Namu International Airport . On our way to Bukit Lawang, we’ll have some stops by visiting some tourists highlights around Medan Mertropolitan, such as visiting Medan Grand Mosque (Masjid Raya Al-Mashun), (Istana) Maimun Palace, Asam Kumbang Crorodile Conservation and the fabulous unique church Maria Annai Vellangkanni. Then we proceed driving straight to Bukit Lawang which takes around 4 – 5 hours drive passing through small towns with rubber, massive palm oil and cacao plantations. During noon time, after arriving at Bahorok – Bukit Lawang, straight away check in hotel and free program.


DAY 2  Discover Sumatra Highlights – Half-day Sumatran Orangutan Jungle Trekking and proceed to Berastagi Karo Highland | NORTH Sumatra.

Our following exciting activity after breakfast is a splendid tour Sumatra Jungle trekking Bukit Lawang to discover the gorgeous apes, Sumatran Orangutans. On the HALF DAY trekking itself takes around 3to4 hour’s jungle trek which is quite doable and suitable at any age.

Our eco-friendly with priority safety jungle tours certainly will be guided by our well experienced Orang Utan’s tour guide teams. During the trek itself, you might have some opportunities (NO guarantee) to catch a glimpse of any other animals’ life. Such as ; Thomas Leaf Monkeys, Siamangs / Black Gibbons, Pig-tail and Long-tail Macaques, Horn-bills, Peacocks, owls and varieties of flora fauna that inhabit Gunung Leuser.

We continue further to explore the jungle by trekking down to the Bahorok river to end the half day trekking tour. Then we carry on another exciting FunTastic adventurous river tubing in Bahorok river. Letting your self-drifting on such s leisure river tubing trip heading back to Bukit Lawang would be such an unforgettable remarkable experience. The Fun Safety River Tubing itself takes about 30 minutes in the water navigated by our well experienced tubing driver. The river tubing tour trip itself is obviously very safedoable and suitable for any age. Then return to your hotel in Bukit Lawang to change the wet clothes and get prepared to continue our trip to Berastagi.

Bukit Lawang to Berastagi

Check out the hotel and take lunch. We will proceed the journey after lunch time which takes around 4 to 5 hours drive to reach and check in hotel in Berastagi. The famous town surrounded with lovely mountains landscape. Coffee break at Panorama Pamah Simelir hill would be a great stop after 3 hours journey. Proceed travelling around the magnificent landscape of Sinabung Volcano countryside area. After reaching Berastagi, we will explore traditional market as well as Gundaling hill in Berastagi for the enchanting panoramic view of Sinabung and Sibayak volcanoes. Later at noon check in hotel (Berastagi).


DAY 3 : Tour around Berastagi to Samosir Island – Toba LakeNORTH Sumatra.

We will explore Berastagi Karo Highland in the morning by visiting Gundaling Hill enjoy the magnificent active volcanoes Mount Sibayak Volcano and Sinabung landscape. Then we proceed to visit  Pagoda Lumbini Park, the impressive Buddhist Temple Park in Berastagi. And after that we will stop at Berastagi fruit market and take our coffee break.

Berastagi to Lake Toba Samosir Isand.

On our trip to Lake Toba, we will visit Dokan Village the authentic traditional Batak Karo village. Then proceed the trip to a fabulous tourist attraction around North Sumatra, the magnificent Sipiso-piso waterfall. Later on we proceed driving to the King Purba Palace, the ancient Bolon House at Simalungun regency. It must be awesome enjoying coffee break at Panorama Simarjarunjung with Northern Toba Lake view and surrounding mountains landscape. Our tour trip will proceed to Parapat town or Tiga Ras jetty to get a ferry/boat across Samosir Island – Toba Lake. Around noon time, check in hotel on Samosir Island.


DAY 4  Lake Toba Samosir Island Cultural Tour | NORTH Sumatra.

Our Samosir Island tour starts by visiting the most famous tour highlights around Toba Lake. “The King Siallagan” Stone chair ancient courtyard site situated at Ambarita village, overwhelmed with typical Bolon houses will be our first stop. And then we will visit Simanindo village to enjoy the traditional dancing performance of Batak Toba culture. After that our lunch break will be somewhere around Tuktuk area.

And then we proceed to visit Tomok village to see the ancient tombs (sarcophagus) of King Sidabutar graves yard site. We will continue further to Panorama Parhalow (Sigarantung) to have a lovely coffee break with magnificent southern Panorama of Samosir Island Lake Toba. We finally return to hotel after we are done with all the surroundings highlights. 

During noon time is your Free Program and certainly be on your own leisure. Perhaps relaxing, reading by the lake side or swimming would be a great idea. Evermore having traditional massage would absolutely be such a brilliant idea whilst enjoying the fabulous noon.


DAY 5 – (Samosir Island – Lake Toba) PARAPAT to BUKITTINGGI – Overnight stay in Padang Sidempuan | NORTH Sumatra.

Your 8 days itinerary holiday trip to discover Sumatra (NORTH region will go on further to explore WEST Sumatra Indonesia). This trip ideally begins at 07h30(7.30am) from your hotel around Samosir Island taking a boat crossing Lake Toba to Parapat jetty. Padang Sidempuan city will be our place to stay overnight on our halfway to Bukittinggi/Padang.

Along the transit trip to Bukittinggi, we will stop at Balige traditional market known with its typical Batak Toba rooftop house. Then our short coffee break will be at Panorama Gurgur, the southern panorama of Toba Lake. After that another 1 hour drive to Tarutung (known as the religious Christian town) for our lunch stop. We proceed driving around 2 hours’ to Sipirok village for a short coffee break at a fabulous mountainous countryside. We finally move farther to check in hotel in Padang Sidempuan around late noon which take about 90 minutes’ drive.


DAY 6 – Padang Sidempuan to Bukittinggi Highland | WEST Sumatra.

We will travel further to West Sumatra from North Sumatra region, along the way we will visit the nearby interesting places. Coffee break will be at Sihepeng village, it is alike mini botanical garden where you can find varieties of typical Sumatran spices grow around this village. Then we proceed driving to Kotanopan village surrounded by rice fields for lunch break. After that we will carry on our journey farther crossing the border between North and West Sumatra region.  

After entering West Sumatra region, we will take a short break at natural Panti hot spring. Then we proceed to stop at the Bonjol Equator Lane, Sumatra. We carry on driving further which approximately takes 90 minutes drive to finally check in hotel at late noon around Bukittinggi .


DAY 7 – Combination of Minangkabau Countryside and Harau Valley Countryside Tour | WEST Sumatra.

Our Minangkabau tour is about to discover more about West Sumatra Minangkabau culture, traditional houses, traditions and etc around Batusangkar Tanah Datar district. Firstly we will stop at Batipuah village to visit an old building of Minangkabau mosque (called “Surau”) with its original Minangkabau architecture. And then our coffee break will at Singkarak Lake. After that we proceed visiting another tourist attraction, Balimbiang village to see old traditional Minangkabau houses. Especially Rumah Tuo Kampai Nan Panjang which was built without any nails and thatched roof top with buffalo horn shape.

Our late lunch finally will be at Sungai Tarok village, a lovely restaurant surrounded with terraced paddy fields landscape. After that we carry on driving to Batusangkar to visit Istana Pagaruyuang Palace, the magnificent traditional big house of Minangkabau. Continue driving to Panorama Tabek Patah for a splendid coffee break.

Finally we continue driving further about 90 minutes to explore Harau Valley countryside. After that we will have a coffee break at Abdi Homestay Harau Valley before heading back to Bukittinggi. It takes around 90 minutes drive to return to Bukittinggi from Harau Valley.


DAY 8 – Bukittinggi to Padang Airport | WEST Sumatra.

We begin the journey to visit Pandai Sikek Village, to see local people make traditional hand weaving (songket) and wood carving (ukiran kayu) with typical Minangkabau style and designs. And then we will have a short break at Anai Valley waterfall situated just along the main road. After that our coffee break will be at Panorama Kiambang coffee shop and then we continue driving to Padang Airport. Estimated time to reach Padang Airport is around 15h00 or 3pm.

It is also possible to drive around Padang downtown if you still have a bit of extra time before heading back to Padang Airport.
