TRAVEL ITINERARY :
DAY 1 : Medan surroundings Tour to Bukit Lawang.
We will come to pick you up either from hotel in Medan or Kuala Namu Airport North Sumatra. Our journey begins heading to Bukit Lawang to visit some tourists highlights in Medan, such as visiting (Istana) Maimun Palace, Medan Great Mosque (Masjid Raya Al-Mashun), the magnificent architecture church Maria Annai Vellangkanni and Asam Kumbang Crocodile Conservation . Later on continue driving straight to Bukit Lawang which takes about 4 – 5 hours drive passing through small towns with rubber, massive palm oil and cacao plantations. After arriving at Bukit Lawang, we check in hotel.
DAY 2 : Return day trip from Bukit Lawang to Tangkahan Sumatran Elephant.
Our adventure holiday trip today is to visit Tangkahan. The most well-known friendliest Sumatran Elephant Conservation Camp in NORTH Sumatra. Due to the road conditions and distance needed, therefore the only quickest way to reach Tangkahan with safety priority is to take the shortcut road driving through palm oil plantation trails.
Our journey from Bukit Lawang to Tangkahan is approximately 2.5to 3 hours. Surely a few stop here and there will be made along our way to Tangkahan village. Then we will have our lunch break at this lovely remote area as soon as arriving there.
Due to meet your interests and passions, you can choose the options for your activities with Sumatran Elephant Tangkahan . Firstly you can both ride and wash the elephants. Secondly you can either ride the elephants or only wash/bath them. The choice is all yours.
SUMATRAN ELEPHANT RIDING.
At 14h00 we start taking a walk to river bank and begin our lovely adventure tour, Eco-Friendly Sumatran Elephants ride. The trip begins to slowly cruise the rain forest border of Gunung Leuser National Park. It is about 30-45 minutes wonderful ride to reach the Elephant Conservation Camp and led by professional talented friendly Mahouts. This opportunity is indeed the most appropriate way for you, to experience how they actually work on their primary duty to intensively patrol and guard the wilderness of jungle from any illegal and suspicious activities like animal poaching, illegal logging as well as villages. And sometimes you might bump into the wild elephant tracks (foot prints) by chance during the jungle trek elephant ride.
SUMATRAN ELEPHANT WASHING (BATH).
After we’re done gaining great adventure riding experience, then we will get prepared for our next activity as soon as reaching Buluh Batang river, The Elephant Conservation Camp. We are going to wash (bath) Sumatran Elephants in the riverside before sending them back for rest in their camp. This is absolutely another great opportunity for you to experience washing (bathing), getting in touch with them for 30 minutes. You will eventually experience how to bath (wash) these elephants and calves while observing their fascinating behaviour, sensational rough skin, touch the giant body, rubbing their tough legs, big feet, strong tusks etc.
As soon as we’re all done with this great exciting experienced day, finally time to return to Bukit Lawang through the same bumpy road that takes almost 2,5-3 hours’ drive.
DAY 3 – Sumatra ORANGUTAN tour trekking 2 days 1 night stay in hidden Paradise Bukit Lawang jungle.
Our following exciting activity after breakfast is to explore Bukit Lawang jungle to discover the rarest apes on earth Sumatra Orangutan tour trekking. On the first day trip roughly takes 5to6 hour’s jungle trek which is quite doable and suitable at any age.

DAY 4 : Return to Bukit Lawang from the hidden jungle Gunung Leuser and continue to Berastagi.
Morning time while having your breakfast would absolutely be a perfect moment to enjoy the extremely refreshing air. Grabbing the real feeling of the truly rain forest ambiance combined with the sound of nature around Gunung Leuser National Park.
As soon as the weather gets warmer, then we will start another exciting FunTastic adventurous river tubing in Bahorok river. Letting your self-drifting on such leisure river trip heading back to Bukit Lawang would be such an unforgettable remarkable experience. The Fun Safety River Tubing itself takes about 30 minutes in the water navigated by our well experienced tubing driver. The river tubing tour trip itself is obviously very safe, doable and suitable for any age. Our stop will be at Ecolodge Bamboo restaurant in Bukit Lawang to change your wet clothes and have lunch before heading to Berastagi.
Our journey will continue travelling to an incredibly refreshing climate mountain, Berastagi Town. This volcanic fertile town is surrounded by lovely mountains landscape and blanketed with huge agricultural farms. Our stop point will be at Panorama Pamah Simelir hill after 3 hours driving. Proceed travelling around the magnificent landscape of Sinabung Volcano countryside area. After reaching Berastagi, we will explore traditional market and souvenir shops. Later on we move to the scenic Gundaling hill for coffee break. It is famous for its enchanting panoramic view of Sinabung and Sibayak volcanoes. Later at noon and check in hotel (Berastagi).
DAY 5 – Hiking Sibayak Volcano – Berastagi to Toba Lake (Samosir Island).
Our hiking trip would rather be much better to start early morning before sunrise in order to catch up the magnificent sunrise (also possible after early breakfast). First of all, begin by driving to Mount Sibayak starting point, roughly 30 minutes away from Berastagi. Climb up to the top reaching the Sibayak summit. Enjoying the magnificent view of Berastagi Highland landscape as well as the gigantic Sinabung Volcano. The easy lovely hike takes around 90 minutes to 2 hours and likewise in return nearly the same time. Then we move to Sidebuk debuk hot springs situated on the foot of Mount Sibayak for natural relaxation happy ending after volcano hike.
Berastagi to Toba Lake.

Our jouney will proceed to Parapat town or Tiga Ras jetty to get a ferry/boat across Samosir Island – Toba Lake. Check in hotel at Toba Lake around noon time.
DAY 6 – Toba Lake Tour to Medan City or Kuala Namu Airport.
Your holiday around North Sumatra tourism would be lovely by visiting Ambarita village, to see the ancient court yard of the Siallagan’s tribe which is still originally decorated with its stone chair, stone table and surrounded with traditional Batak’s houses.
Later on we will travel farther to visit Simanindo village, another tourist attractions around Toba Lake to see some traditional Batak dancing. And we will also visit another interesting places around Somosir Island Lake Toba, Tomok Village to see the ancient tomb of King Sidabutar graves yard.
After lunch time, we will take take the ferry or boat across the mainland, Parapat Jetty and continue travelling further up north to Medan Airport which roughly takes around 4 to 5 hours drive. We will either send you back to Medan Airport or to any desired hotel around Medan downtown.
